The Outback looked as good in person as it did in the pictures. I took it for a test drive, and it was great. We are really close to being at the price we want to be at, so hopefully I will have a new (to me) car by the end of the week.

That's great! My parents have been very happy with theirs (2012 3.6R Limited). Hopefully yours will treat you equally well (2.5i Premium, correct?).

Awesome to hear. This one is a 2012 2.5i Premium with 22,000 miles. Apparently it was traded in on a new Lexus, and this Toyota dealer bought it off the Lexus dealer.

Wish I could, but it would involve cutting off a significant portion of my 6'9" body.

so, trading the elantra for this thing, eh? Personally I'm not a fan of the color, but I can't argue with the simple truth: Pound for pound, nothing comes close to the utility and livability combo of a Subaru.
My ex has a 1999 Outback, and that thing is still great! my mom almost bought one of those, and it's a shame she didn't! they're great!

Yep, I'm probably trading the Elantra. The Hyundai dealer was so nasty to me, and pulled some very fishy shit, so I am done with the Hyundai brand. They were disrespectful to both my 84 year old grandfather and myself on friday, so that made me decide that I wanted to get rid of my pile of shit, and into something of higher quality.
also, the color isn't my first choice, but it is growing on me, I would have preferred Cypress Green, but since this one is going to probably be a great deal, I will be completely fine with the color.

That's some nice low mileage for that year. My parents already have 30,000 on theirs.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. If I don't know the answer, I'm sure I can find it.

Have they had any issues?
Also, does the hood vibrate while idling?

The only issue that comes to mind was some 2010 Outbacks experienced vibrations/shaking in the steering wheel at highway speed (60+ mph). It was present on only some 2010s, has been remedied in subsequent model years. You may see 1 or 2 complaints pop up occasionally on the newer model years, but these instances are isolated. As long as the Outback you test drive doesn't exhibit the shaking at highway speed, then you are in the clear. Also, after 22,000 miles, this issue should have appeared if it will happen.
There are two recalls I can think of that have occurred on the 2012 Outback. One for side airbags (381 units) and one for excessive brake pedal travel (units built between 10-17-11 and 11-23-11). You can check any recalls, and if they have been completed, for any Subaru VIN here .
As for hood vibration at idle, my parents 2012 doesn't vibrate at idle. However, they have the 3.6L flat 6, which idles a lot smoother than the 2.5L flat 4 does. The hood may vibrate slightly, but I don't expect it to be anything significant.

The vibrating steering happened in a 2014 that I test drove last week, but luckily I did not experience it in this 2012. I will be sure to give it a second more thurough test drive prior to purchasing it. Thanks for all the info.
